For the first time in Europe, sensory perfume designer and olfactive artist Éva-Marie Lind is offering the introductory module of her course Flowers of Perfume focusing on bitter orange-blossom (neroli) and roses. For a week towards the end of May 2019, we will be immersed in the culture and customs of Italy's Liguria province. We will visit La Vecchia's 'plants of perfume' plantation, and experience time-honoured traditional harvesting and distillation methods. Dr E. Joy Bowles, travelling in from Australia, will be the adjunctive Instructor co-ordinating and presenting her unique approach to Organic (Aromatic) Chemistry, with particular focus on the flowers that will be highlighted.
Places for the workshops are limited , so register your interest now to avoid disappointment. Approximate tuition fee will be 2,000 euros, and includes a workbook, hand-outs, smelling strips, and the chance to purchase floral waters and oils from La Vecchia.
